GIA is pleased to announce 15 promotions across the business including 3 senior team members to Director.
These promotions reflect our continued growth and commitment to unlocking potential for a better-built environment by tackling challenges with passion, creativity, and incisive solutions. Expanding our team of Directors enhances our capacity for innovation and recognises the expertise of our high-achieving team.
Meet our three new Directors…Danielle McGill, Katie Harley and Krystle Stewart.
Danielle joined GIA in 2014 and specialises in providing strategic daylight, sunlight and rights of light advice on major schemes. Based in London, Danielle has been involved in key developments including Earls Court, Chalk Gardens, Finsbury Tower and Whitechapel Estate. As an ambassador for Women in Property Danielle actively participates in mentoring and networking events, dedicated to supporting others in the industry.
Katie is a chartered town planner with over 14 years’ experience in the industry. As both a planning consultant and daylight consultant, Katie has worked on a range of large regeneration projects across London and the south-east. More recently Katie has specialised in providing customised strategies and advisory services related to daylight, sunlight and overshadowing for planning applications and appeals, most recently on Margery Street in Islington where she appeared as an expert witness for the public inquiry. As a people manager, Katie takes immense pride in leading her team. She is deeply committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where each team member feels valued and empowered to contribute their best.
Krystle joined GIA in 2015 and since then has led on numerous high-profile schemes across the UK and Ireland. She has a particular interest in large-scale masterplans, working closely with design teams to deliver well daylit residential accommodation in high density environments, and solar glare. Projects Krystle has been involved with include Trinity Islands, Manchester; Glass Bottle Wharf Phase 2, Dublin and Elephant Park, London.

In Birmingham, Ellis Smith has been promoted to Associate Director, and Edward Portlock to Senior Surveyor.
In Bristol, congratulations to our new Senior Associate Directors, Conor Tierney and Fahimeh Soltani.
In London, we celebrate the promotions of Katie Hannon and Vincent Lutz to Senior Associate Directors; Andy Combs and Lotte Toberman to Associate Directors; Ben Younger, Hamid Zoab, and Carlos Neto to Senior Design Analysts; Charles McGregor Hand to Surveyor and Ella Jolley to Junior Paralegal.
