Chairman Gordon Ingram Steps Away After 30 Years

Gordon Ingram, the founder, and Chairman of GIA will step away from his role after three decades of dedicated service.

Gordon has been a driving force behind our growth and success since its inception 30 years ago. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in navigating us through various milestones, including our restructure and private equity investment in October 2023.  Despite Gordon’s reduced role to one day a week since then, his strategic guidance remained invaluable to the company’s progress.

Our new leadership structure, led by CEO Sam Wallis, along with the investment from Lonsdale Capital Partners, paved the way for us to accelerate growth across our offices in Belfast, Bristol, Dublin, London and Manchester. An ongoing expansion programme will focus on pushing existing services such as wind analysis, building consultancy and measured surveys, as well as increasing GIA’s investment in technology that will enable it to continue to be at the forefront of daylight, sunlight and rights of light.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Gordon for his leadership, unwavering dedication, and significant contributions to GIA throughout the years.” stated Sam Wallis, CEO.  “Our revamped leadership structure, featuring GIA Directors who have been in the business for a long time, combined with our substantial investment and innovative strategy, positions our business to confidently embrace technological advancements and evolving capabilities.  We are poised to harness the enhanced quality of information brought by digitisation, empowering us to assist our clients in navigating the forthcoming challenges in the property sector.”

The Board of GIA is discussing the future role of Chairman with a further announcement expected in due course.
