GIA is pleased to announce 10 promotions across the business including 2 senior team members to Director.
These promotions highlight our ongoing growth and dedication to unlocking a better-built environment by addressing challenges with passion, creativity, and effective solutions. Expanding our team of Directors strengthens our ability to innovate and acknowledges the expertise of our outstanding team members.
Meet our two new Directors…Jess Doyle and Greg Bird.
Jess joined GIA in 2016 and specialises in delivering strategic daylight, sunlight, and rights of light advice for major developments. Based in London, she has contributed to significant projects, including the the Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey, the Winstanley and York Road Masterplan in Wandsworth and the proposed Westfield redevelopment in Croydon. Passionate about nurturing the next generation, Jess plays a vital role in our Graduate Scheme, supporting and mentoring emerging talent in the industry and is excited to continue expanding GIA’s social value offering.
Greg is a Chartered Building Surveyor specialising in Party Wall and Neighbourly Matters, as well as boundary mapping. Based in Manchester, he has provided specialist consultancy advice on high-profile projects, including Colmore Gate in Birmingham, as well as Viadux and St Michael’s in Manchester.
In addition to his project work, Greg is committed to knowledge sharing and professional development within the industry. He regularly delivers CPD sessions, equipping fellow professionals with valuable insights into boundary issues, party wall legislation, and best practices in neighbourly matters.

In Birmingham, Edward Portlock has been promoted to Associate Director.
In Bristol, congratulations to Ben Williams, promoted to Daylight Consultant.
In London, we celebrate the promotions of Mário Salazar Lino to Associate Director, Chloe McKiver to Surveyor, Gabriel Rodriguez Mazzei and Tom Jones to Senior Design Analyst as well as Madia Cipriani and Victoria Soto Magan to Daylight Consultant.
