Simone graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in Spatial Design, going on to earn a distinction for an MSc at London Metropolitan University in Architecture, Energy and Sustainability. He established the Daylight & Solar Design Department at GIA, with the aim of assisting architects and developers to optimise the use of Daylight & Sunlight during project design stages. He has worked on some of London’s leading developments, including 20 Fenchurch Street, Battersea Power Station, Wood Wharf and 22 Bishopsgate. Together with London First, Simone published ‘Guiding Light: Unlocking London’s Residential Density’, a research report which suggests a contextual approach to building density through consideration of daylight and sunlight amenity. He is a Member of the Society of Light and Lighting.
