Maddalena earned a distinction in her MSc in Building Engineering and Architecture from the University of Bologna and has been a key member of GIA since 2011, driven by her passion for sustainable technologies in architecture. She collaborates closely with developers and architects to optimise daylight and sunlight in their projects, making significant contributions to major London developments such as 18 Blackfriars Road, the Canada Water Masterplan and Battersea Power Station. Her expertise covers Daylight & Sunlight planning and Environmental Impact Assessments. A Chartered Engineer in Italy and a registered ARB Architect in the UK, Maddalena also plays a pivotal role in GIA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion group.
