44 Merrion Street, Leeds

GIA provided Wind Microclimate consultancy for the development project at Merrion Street, Leeds, led by SimpsonHaugh Architects. The development comprises of 660 bed spaces, various amenity spaces, and rooftop gardens. It features a 32-storey tower on top of a a street-level podium.

Planning permission has been granted for the commercial and residential space spanning 25,000 sq ft. We conducted wind analysis for the project, using both Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Wind Tunnel Testing. Working closely with the architects, we developed mitigation solutions that aligned with the overall vision of the development.
