Battersea Power Station, London
Services

- Daylight & Sunlight Amenity Within Site
- Environmental Impact Assessment
Battersea Power Station, a Grade II* listed landmark, reopened in October 2022 as a new shopping and leisure destination in London. Once responsible for a significant portion of the city’s electricity, the power station had long been abandoned until its transformation into a vibrant and innovative attraction. GIA has played a crucial role in this project since its inception, overseeing the environmental aspects, such as daylight and sunlight impacts, overshadowing, solar glare, and light pollution. Additionally, we optimised the internal daylight and sunlight overshadowing for residential accommodations in Phases 1-3. This historic London landmark, along with its surroundings, has been revitalised as one of the most captivating and pioneering mixed-use neighbourhoods worldwide.
