Building up Belfast

Exciting news that Belfast City Council plans to encourage 66,000 more people to move to the city centre by 2035. With the demand for 30,000 new homes, our services will be more important than ever.

Kevin Francis, partner at GIA Belfast notes that, “The announcement of increased density in Belfast will bring with it many unique challenges, including the potentially harmful effects on daylight and sunlight amenity to existing and proposed dwellings. GIAs expert consultancy, coupled with the use of our VU.CITY platform, will help to identify and proactively mitigate such constraints very early on in the planning process which could result in significant time and cost savings for developers and ultimately better decision making for local authorities.”
