Emily Shortlisted for Rising Star at Midlands Props Awards 2026

We’re proud to share that Emily Whitehurst, a Design Analyst based in our Birmingham office, has been shortlisted for the Rising Star award at the Midlands Props Awards 2026.

Since joining GIA, Emily has quickly established herself as a highly valued member of the team. She is widely regarded as reliable, proactive, and commercially astute, consistently approaching new challenges with a positive attitude and a willingness to take ownership of her work with minimal supervision. Emily’s work involves the creation of detailed 3D models using both 2D drawings and point cloud scan data within AutoCAD. She also undertakes Rights of Light and Daylight/Sunlight analyses, contributing to technically robust and commercially informed project delivery.

We’re delighted to see Emily’s hard work and impact recognised and her shortlisting is a testament to her dedication, potential, and the positive influence she continues to have on our team and clients.

Michael Beatty, Director at GIA, said:

“Emily’s energy is contagious, bringing positivity and momentum to the office and to every project she supports. Just as importantly, she is exceptionally reliable following through on commitments and meeting deadlines.”

The winners of all the categories will be announced during the awards dinner on Thursday 30 April at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham and we look forward to celebrating with Emily, and everyone shortlisted.
