100 Leadenhall Street
A 263.4 metre skyscraper due to grace the City of London sky line in 2026.
The building will provide over 102,000 square metres of office accommodation, with the first level being used as a free public viewing gallery providing 360-degree panoramic views across London.
GIA have been involved from the very early stages of the design in order to assess the Daylight, Sunlight and Overshadowing impacts upon the surrounding sensitive receptors.
Owing to the continuously increasing density of the area, the City of London has requested a thorough approach with regard to Solar Glare matters following on from the issues experienced with 20 Fenchurch Street.
GIA has worked very closely with the design and façade teams in order to reduce the solar reflections visible from road users as much as possible. The outcome of the consultancy process has been generally accepted by the local authorities. Advice was also provided for Light Pollution and Environmental Impacts.
